Design digital world #2 Social

Digital worlds have become increasingly popular and engaging in today's society. They offer players the opportunity to explore vast virtual universes, interact with other players and experience experiences that often transcend reality. In addition to fun and entertainment, these digital environments can be an interesting platform for exploring and implementing various social aspects. And since I strongly defend that individuals, no matter how digital they may be, will seek social interactions and I believe that in the digital world, online games have been playing a very important role even in combating social anxiety a little.

MMORPGs can also play an important role in developing soft skills. Players are encouraged to collaborate in teams and interact with other players to achieve common goals. This requires communication skills, teamwork, leadership and conflict resolution. Through these virtual social interactions, players can hone their social skills and apply them to their lives outside of the game.

An important aspect is cultural diversity. MMORPGs and digital worlds can feature a wide range of races, ethnicities and cultures, allowing players to engage in interactions and dialogue with characters representing different perspectives and backgrounds. This promotes a greater understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, contributing to the formation of a more inclusive and tolerant society.

Another important social aspect is the virtual economy present in MMORPGs. Many of these games have complex economic systems where players can buy, sell and trade virtual items. This creates an opportunity for understanding basic economic principles such as supply, demand, inflation and market strategies. Players can learn to manage resources and make economic decisions based on their needs and goals within the game.

It is important to explore these possibilities of interactions within a digital space, they help to foster a community within a digital space, I find it very interesting to adopt social networking mechanics within an MMORPG, for example, interactions such as forum and network in-game social, where players can express themselves in some ways within the game and share experiences and ideas from within the game.
